for Doing It For The Kids in-person events
What these terms cover. These are the terms and conditions for our in-person events. They set out the key things we need you to know, and how to get in touch if you have any queries or issues.
Who we are. We are Doing It For The Kids Limited, incorporated and registered in England and Wales with company number 11867934 whose registered office is at Lytchett House, 13 Freeland Park, Wareham Road, Poole, Dorset, BH16 6FA, United Kingdom (“DIFTK”).

If you need to cancel your booking because of something we have done. You have the right to cancel your booking and receive a refund if:
- we are unable to hold the event on the agreed date(s), and we are unable to provide substitute date(s) within three (3) months of the original event date; or
- we are unable to hold the event at the agreed venue, and we are unable to provide a substitute venue.
Where you cancel your booking on the grounds above, you will be entitled to a full refund of your purchase, excluding any fees charged by Eventbrite for the transactions. These fees are imposed and regulated by Eventbrite and DIFTK have no control or liability in relation to these fees. We will provide such refund within 30 days of the date of cancellation.
If you need to cancel your booking for any other reason. Where you need to cancel your booking for any reason seven (7) days or more before the agreed date(s) of the event, you will be entitled to a full refund of your purchase, excluding any fees charged by Eventbrite for the transactions. These fees are imposed and regulated by Eventbrite and DIFTK have no control or liability in relation to these fees. We will provide such refund within 30 days of the date of cancellation.
Where you need to cancel your booking for any reason less than seven (7) days before the agreed date(s) of the event, you may transfer your booking to another person by emailing us prior to the event and advising us of the new attendee’s name and contact email. You will not be entitled to receive a full or partial refund for cancellations less than seven (7) days before the agreed date(s) of the event.
If we need to cancel your booking. Where we need to cancel your purchase for any reason, you will be entitled to a full refund of your purchase, excluding any fees charged by Eventbrite for the transactions. These fees are imposed and regulated by Eventbrite and DIFTK have no control or liability in relation to these fees. We will provide such refund within 30 days of the date of cancellation.
Our responsibility in the event of cancellations. Our liability where you cancel your booking or we cancel the event is limited solely to the provisions set out above. We will not be liable or responsible for any additional costs, expenses or losses you incur as a result of your cancellation of your booking or our cancellation of the event.
Photography and video recording may be used at the event. Please be aware that photographs and video recordings may be taken of the event and any participants in attendance at the event, including children who are in attendance. Please let us know prior to the event if you do not want your image, or the image of any child attending with you, recorded in photographs or video recordings of the event. Any media recorded during the event may be used for our marketing purposes, including but not limited to event promotion, social media marketing, email newsletters and communications, and paid and unpaid advertising.
Your responsibility for any minors in your care. DIFTK events are family and child friendly, and we welcome babies and pre-schoolers to attend with their parent or responsible adult. We may provide a small selection of toys or colouring materials if we and the venue have the capacity to do so, but we do not guarantee that we will be able to provide such materials. We will not provide formal childcare or babysitting services during the event. Your child remains your responsibility at all times.
Whilst we will do all we can to ensure the event is a family and child friendly environment, we cannot guarantee the child-friendly nature of the venue and as such, please ensure that your child is safe and cared for at all times before, during and after the event. We will not be responsible or liable for your child’s welfare or safety at any time.
