“This group feels like a ready-made gang of the most helpful and supportive colleagues ever.”

Hello. Hi.
My name’s Frankie. I graphic-design stuff, look after two small humans, and run Doing It For The Kids.
OK, but what’s it all about?
Doing It For The Kids is a growing community of freelance parents making real connections online and off.
It’s a space to bring all us self-employed parents together, to support each other, vent and generally have a laugh at the utter ridiculousness of trying to take a client call with a toddler gnawing at your ankles.
Doing It For The Kids is about…
Connection.
Work, friendships, partnerships… I believe that good shit happens when freelance parents are given the opportunity to connect.
Keeping it real.
DIFTK is a Bullshit-Free Zone. Working for yourself with kids to look after is hard — this is about recognising that frankly and openly.
Collaboration over competition.
DIFTKers help each other out, not tear each other down. Mutual support, advice and collaboration are the aim of the game.
Inclusivity.
No matter what stage you’re at with your business or your kids — everybody’s welcome. A fellow DIFTKer has already been where you are now.
“Totally in love with your feed. Witty, funny, realness.”
Read stories from other self-employed parents.

Going to a DIFTK Meetup is like…
“The best cup of coffee, your most sympathetic friend, and the most badass business coach all rolled into one.”

Meetups
Not a fan of networking events? Me neither! Let’s make some awkward chat together and kick isolation in the bum once and for all.
Babies, toddlers and pre-school kids welcome. Currently meeting at Huckletree West, London.

Keen to come to the next one? Then make sure you sign up for the newsletter and join the Facebook group.
